The 3 month manufacturer’s warranty on this pump requires the following steps be taken prior to installation of the pump:

Flushing the hydraulic system: When hydraulic pumps fail, they often release metal shavings into the hydraulic system. It is necessary to drain your hydraulic fluid, completely flush your system, clean your sump screen, and install a new hydraulic filter and new hydraulic fluid prior to installing the new pump.

Checking the transmission pump: Your transmission pump feeds hydraulic fluid to your hydraulic pump. A faulty transmission pump will cause a hydraulic pump to fail. You must confirm your transmission pump is working correctly prior to installing the new pump.

You may need additional hydraulic fittings, please check your port sizes carefully.
